Gauss will soon be embarking on our 100th year in business. Charlie Gauss, a Rochester native and local prizefighter founded a small retail sporting goods store known as Gauss Sporting Goods in 1903.

After years of the retail Sporting Goods business, the organization caught the eye of another local entrepreneur, named Gerald Hanna. Mr. Hanna had founded a business in 1969 called Abrasive-Tool Corporation (ATC). In 1986, ATC purchased Gauss. Mr. Hanna entrusted the managing of the organization to the youngest of his five sons, Jed Jr.

Today, Gauss Sales is one of the leading Sportswear Wholesalers on the East Coast. We stock hundreds of thousands of brand name garments and accessories, supplying Ad Specialty Distributors, garment decorators, and retailers hundreds of times each and every day.
